Devotional texts
The aartis, chalisas and stutis on BhaktiRoz are traditional texts. Many printed and sung versions exist, and wording can differ between regions and editions. We check texts against printed editions or with a pandit; texts that have been checked show a "Verified" badge. If your family's book differs, please follow your own tradition, and let us know through the Contact page so we can review it.
Meanings and transliteration
The English meanings and Roman transliteration are our own, written to aid understanding. They are not a scholarly or authoritative translation, and different teachers may explain a verse differently.
Puja guidance
Suggestions such as "when to recite" and simple puja steps are general guidance drawn from common practice. Customs vary between families and communities. For specific rituals, vows (sankalp) and muhurat, please consult your family priest.
Benefits described in the texts
Many traditional texts describe the spiritual fruits of recitation. These reflect the faith of the tradition; we present them as part of the text and make no promise of any particular outcome. Nothing on this site is medical, legal, financial or astrological advice.
Festival dates
Festival dates are given for convenience and can differ by region and panchang. Please confirm dates and timings with your local panchang or temple.
