श्रीगुरु चरन सरोज रज, निज मनु मुकुरु सुधारि। बरनउँ रघुबर बिमल जसु, जो दायकु फल चारि॥

Cleansing the mirror of my mind with the dust of my Guru's lotus feet, I sing the pure glory of Shri Ram, which grants the four fruits of life.
बुद्धिहीन तनु जानिके, सुमिरौं पवन-कुमार। बल बुधि बिद्या देहु मोहिं, हरहु कलेस बिकार॥
Buddhiheen tanu janike, sumirau Pavan-kumar. Bal buddhi bidya dehu mohi, harahu kalesh bikar.
Knowing myself to lack wisdom, I remember Pavan Kumar. Grant me strength, intellect and knowledge, and remove my troubles and flaws.
जय हनुमान ज्ञान गुन सागर। जय कपीस तिहुँ लोक उजागर॥
Jai Hanuman gyan gun sagar, Jai Kapis tihun lok ujagar.
Victory to Hanuman, ocean of wisdom and virtue. Victory to the lord of the Vanaras, who lights up the three worlds.
राम दूत अतुलित बल धामा। अंजनि-पुत्र पवनसुत नामा॥
Ram doot atulit bal dhama, Anjani-putra Pavansut nama.
You are Shri Ram's messenger and the home of matchless strength, known as Anjani's son and son of the Wind.
महाबीर बिक्रम बजरंगी। कुमति निवार सुमति के संगी॥
Mahabir bikram Bajrangi, Kumati nivar sumati ke sangi.
Great and valiant hero with a body like a thunderbolt, you drive away bad thoughts and stand by good sense.
कंचन बरन बिराज सुबेसा। कानन कुंडल कुंचित केसा॥
Kanchan baran biraj subesa, Kanan kundal kunchit kesa.
Your golden form shines in fine attire, with earrings in your ears and curly hair.
हाथ बज्र औ ध्वजा बिराजै। काँधे मूँज जनेऊ साजै॥
Hath bajra au dhvaja birajai, Kandhe moonj janeu sajai.
The thunderbolt and the flag shine in your hands, and a sacred thread of munja grass adorns your shoulder.
संकर सुवन केसरीनंदन। तेज प्रताप महा जग बंदन॥
Sankar suvan Kesarinandan, Tej pratap maha jag bandan.
Born of Shiva's grace and son of Kesari, your radiance and glory are honoured by the whole world.
बिद्यावान गुनी अति चातुर। राम काज करिबे को आतुर॥
Bidyavan guni ati chatur, Ram kaj karibe ko atur.
Learned, virtuous and very wise, you are always eager to do Shri Ram's work.
प्रभु चरित्र सुनिबे को रसिया। राम लखन सीता मन बसिया॥
Prabhu charitra sunibe ko rasiya, Ram Lakhan Sita man basiya.
You delight in hearing the Lord's story; Ram, Lakshman and Sita dwell in your heart.
सूक्ष्म रूप धरि सियहिं दिखावा। बिकट रूप धरि लंक जरावा॥
Sukshma roop dhari Siyahi dikhava, Bikat roop dhari Lank jarava.
Taking a tiny form you appeared before Sita, and taking a fearsome form you set Lanka on fire.
भीम रूप धरि असुर सँहारे। रामचंद्र के काज सँवारे॥
Bheem roop dhari asur sanhare, Ramachandra ke kaj sanvare.
Taking a mighty form you destroyed the demons and completed Shri Ramchandra's tasks.
लाय सजीवन लखन जियाये। श्रीरघुबीर हरषि उर लाये॥
Laye Sanjivan Lakhan jiyaye, Shri Raghubir harashi ur laye.
You brought the Sanjivani herb and revived Lakshman; overjoyed, Shri Ram held you to his heart.
रघुपति कीन्ही बहुत बड़ाई। तुम मम प्रिय भरतहि सम भाई॥
Raghupati kinhi bahut badai, Tum mam priya Bharatahi sam bhai.
Shri Ram praised you greatly and said: you are as dear to me as my brother Bharat.
सहस बदन तुम्हरो जस गावैं। अस कहि श्रीपति कंठ लगावैं॥
Sahas badan tumharo jas gavain, As kahi Shripati kanth lagavain.
"May a thousand mouths sing your glory," said the Lord, and embraced you.
सनकादिक ब्रह्मादि मुनीसा। नारद सारद सहित अहीसा॥
Sanakadik Brahmadi munisa, Narad Sarad sahit Ahisa.
Sanaka and the sages, Brahma and the gods, Narad, Saraswati and Sheshnag all sing your praise.
जम कुबेर दिगपाल जहाँ ते। कबि कोबिद कहि सके कहाँ ते॥
Jam Kuber Digpal jahan te, Kabi kobid kahi sake kahan te.
Yama, Kubera and the guardians of the directions, poets and scholars: none can fully describe your glory.
तुम उपकार सुग्रीवहिं कीन्हा। राम मिलाय राज पद दीन्हा॥
Tum upkar Sugrivahi kinha, Ram milaye rajpad dinha.
You did Sugriva a great service: you brought him to Shri Ram and restored his kingdom.
तुम्हरो मंत्र बिभीषन माना। लंकेस्वर भए सब जग जाना॥
Tumharo mantra Bibhishan mana, Lankeshwar bhaye sab jag jana.
Vibhishan followed your counsel and became king of Lanka, as the whole world knows.
जुग सहस्र जोजन पर भानू। लील्यो ताहि मधुर फल जानू॥
Jug sahastra jojan par Bhanu, Leelyo tahi madhur phal janu.
The sun, thousands of yojanas away, you swallowed, taking it for a sweet fruit.
प्रभु मुद्रिका मेलि मुख माहीं। जलधि लाँघि गये अचरज नाहीं॥
Prabhu mudrika meli mukh mahin, Jaladhi langhi gaye achraj nahin.
Carrying the Lord's ring in your mouth, you leapt across the ocean; that is no wonder for you.
दुर्गम काज जगत के जेते। सुगम अनुग्रह तुम्हरे तेते॥
Durgam kaj jagat ke jete, Sugam anugrah tumhre tete.
Every difficult task in the world becomes easy by your grace.
राम दुआरे तुम रखवारे। होत न आज्ञा बिनु पैसारे॥
Ram duare tum rakhvare, Hot na agya binu paisare.
You guard Shri Ram's door; no one enters without your permission.
सब सुख लहै तुम्हारी सरना। तुम रच्छक काहू को डर ना॥
Sab sukh lahai tumhari sarna, Tum rakshak kahu ko dar na.
Those who take refuge in you find every happiness; with you as protector, there is nothing to fear.
आपन तेज सम्हारो आपै। तीनों लोक हाँक तें काँपै॥
Aapan tej samharo aapai, Teenon lok hank te kanpai.
Only you can hold your own power; the three worlds tremble at your roar.
भूत पिसाच निकट नहिं आवै। महाबीर जब नाम सुनावै॥
Bhoot pisach nikat nahin aavai, Mahabir jab naam sunavai.
Ghosts and evil spirits do not come near when the name of Mahavir is chanted.
नासै रोग हरै सब पीरा। जपत निरंतर हनुमत बीरा॥
Nasai rog harai sab peera, Japat nirantar Hanumat beera.
Disease is destroyed and all pain removed by constantly chanting the name of brave Hanuman.
संकट तें हनुमान छुड़ावै। मन क्रम बचन ध्यान जो लावै॥
Sankat te Hanuman chhudavai, Man kram bachan dhyan jo lavai.
Hanuman frees from trouble those who keep him in mind, in deed and in word.
सब पर राम तपस्वी राजा। तिन के काज सकल तुम साजा॥
Sab par Ram tapasvi raja, Tin ke kaj sakal tum saja.
Shri Ram, the ascetic king, is above all, and you completed all his tasks.
और मनोरथ जो कोई लावै। सोइ अमित जीवन फल पावै॥
Aur manorath jo koi lavai, Soi amit jeevan phal pavai.
Whoever comes to you with any wish receives the boundless fruit of life.
चारों जुग परताप तुम्हारा। है परसिद्ध जगत उजियारा॥
Charon jug partap tumhara, Hai parsiddh jagat ujiyara.
Your glory shines through all four ages and is famed throughout the world.
साधु संत के तुम रखवारे। असुर निकंदन राम दुलारे॥
Sadhu sant ke tum rakhvare, Asur nikandan Ram dulare.
You protect saints and sages, destroy demons and are dearly loved by Shri Ram.
अष्ट सिद्धि नौ निधि के दाता। अस बर दीन जानकी माता॥
Asht siddhi nau nidhi ke data, As bar deen Janaki mata.
Mother Sita blessed you to be the giver of the eight siddhis and nine treasures.
राम रसायन तुम्हरे पासा। सदा रहो रघुपति के दासा॥
Ram rasayan tumhre pasa, Sada raho Raghupati ke dasa.
You hold the elixir of devotion to Ram and remain forever his servant.
तुम्हरे भजन राम को पावै। जनम जनम के दुख बिसरावै॥
Tumhre bhajan Ram ko pavai, Janam janam ke dukh bisravai.
Through devotion to you one reaches Shri Ram and forgets the sorrows of many lifetimes.
अंत काल रघुबर पुर जाई। जहाँ जन्म हरि-भक्त कहाई॥
Ant kaal Raghubar pur jai, Jahan janam Hari-bhakt kahai.
At the end one goes to Shri Ram's abode, and wherever born is known as a devotee of Hari.
और देवता चित्त न धरई। हनुमत सेइ सर्ब सुख करई॥
Aur devta chitt na dharai, Hanumat sei sarb sukh karai.
Even without turning to other gods, serving Hanuman brings every happiness.
संकट कटै मिटै सब पीरा। जो सुमिरै हनुमत बलबीरा॥
Sankat katai mitai sab peera, Jo sumirai Hanumat balbeera.
Troubles end and all pain fades for whoever remembers the mighty Hanuman.
जै जै जै हनुमान गोसाईं। कृपा करहु गुरुदेव की नाईं॥
Jai jai jai Hanuman Gosain, Kripa karahu Gurudev ki nain.
Victory, victory, victory to Lord Hanuman; bless me as a Guru blesses.
जो सत बार पाठ कर कोई। छूटहि बंदि महा सुख होई॥
Jo sat bar path kar koi, Chhutahi bandi maha sukh hoi.
Whoever recites this a hundred times is freed from bondage and finds great joy.
जो यह पढ़ै हनुमान चालीसा। होय सिद्धि साखी गौरीसा॥
Jo yah padhai Hanuman Chalisa, Hoy siddhi sakhi Gaurisa.
Whoever reads this Hanuman Chalisa attains success; Shiva, Lord of Gauri, is witness.
तुलसीदास सदा हरि चेरा। कीजै नाथ हृदय महँ डेरा॥
Tulsidas sada Hari chera, Kijai nath hriday mahan dera.
Tulsidas, forever the servant of Hari, prays: Lord, make your home in my heart.
पवनतनय संकट हरन, मंगल मूरति रूप। राम लखन सीता सहित, हृदय बसहु सुर भूप॥
Pavantanay sankat haran, mangal murati roop. Ram Lakhan Sita sahit, hriday basahu sur bhoop.
Son of the Wind, remover of troubles, embodiment of all that is auspicious: O king of the gods, dwell in my heart with Ram, Lakshman and Sita.
