Wearing the Vaijayanti garland, the young Lord plays a sweet flute, and earrings sparkle in his ears; he is Nandlala, the joy of Nand. His body has the dark glow of the sky, and Radha shines beside him as he stands among the vines, with curls dark as bees, a musk tilak and a face bright as the moon; this aarti is for the lovely form of Radha's beloved.

His golden peacock crown gleams, and the gods long for a glimpse of him while flowers shower down from the sky. With the murchang and the sweet mridang playing among the cowherd girls, this aarti is for the Lord of the gopis' boundless love.

From his feet flowed the holy Ganga, who washes away all impurity, and remembering her breaks the bonds of delusion. She lives in Shiva's matted hair and clears the mire of sin; this aarti is for the beautiful feet of Shri Banvari.

The sand on the Yamuna's banks glitters and the flute echoes through Vrindavan, with gopis, cowherds and cows all around. His soft smile is like moonlight and cuts the snares of worldly life; Lord, hear the call of this humble seeker.
