Om jai Shiv Omkara, swami jai Shiv Omkara, Brahma Vishnu Sadashiv, ardhangi dhara.
Om, victory to Shiva, the very form of Omkara. Brahma, Vishnu and Sadashiva are one in you, and you hold your consort as half of your own body.
एकानन चतुरानन पंचानन राजे। हंसानन गरुड़ासन वृषवाहन साजे॥
Ekanan chaturanan panchanan raje, Hansanan Garudasan vrishvahan saje.
You shine with one face, with four faces and with five faces, seated on the swan, on Garuda and on the bull.
दो भुज चार चतुर्भुज दसभुज अति सोहे। त्रिगुण रूप निरखते त्रिभुवन जन मोहे॥
Do bhuj char chaturbhuj dasbhuj ati sohe, Trigun roop nirakhte tribhuvan jan mohe.
With two arms, four arms and ten arms you look most splendid; the people of the three worlds are enchanted when they behold your threefold form.
अक्षमाला वनमाला मुण्डमाला धारी। त्रिपुरारी कंसारी कर माला धारी॥
Akshmala vanmala mundmala dhari, Tripurari Kansari kar mala dhari.
You wear a rosary of beads, a garland of forest flowers and a garland of skulls. As destroyer of Tripura and slayer of Kansa, you hold a rosary in your hand.
श्वेताम्बर पीताम्बर बाघम्बर अंगे। सनकादिक गरुड़ादिक भूतादिक संगे॥
Shvetambar pitambar baghambar ange, Sanakadik Garudadik bhootadik sange.
You are clothed in white, in yellow silk and in tiger skin, with the sage Sanaka and others, Garuda and others, and the spirit hosts by your side.
कर के मध्य कमण्डलु चक्र त्रिशूलधारी। सुखकारी दुखहारी जगपालन कारी॥
Kar ke madhya kamandalu chakra trishuldhari, Sukhkari dukhhari jagpalan kari.
Holding a water pot, the discus and the trident in your hands, you bring joy, take away sorrow and sustain the world.
ब्रह्मा विष्णु सदाशिव जानत अविवेका। प्रणवाक्षर में शोभित ये तीनों एका॥
Brahma Vishnu Sadashiv janat aviveka, Pranavakshar mein shobhit ye teenon eka.
Only the unwise think of Brahma, Vishnu and Sadashiva as separate; in the sacred syllable Om all three shine as one.
लक्ष्मी व सावित्री पार्वती संगा। पार्वती अर्द्धांगी शिवलहरी गंगा॥
Lakshmi va Savitri Parvati sanga, Parvati ardhangi Shivlahari Ganga.
Lakshmi, Savitri and Parvati are with the three; Parvati is your other half, and the Ganga flows as Shiva's own wave.
पर्वत सोहैं पार्वती शंकर कैलासा। भांग धतूर का भोजन भस्मी में वासा॥
Parvat sohain Parvati Shankar Kailasa, Bhang dhatur ka bhojan bhasmi mein vasa.
Parvati graces the mountain and Shankar dwells on Kailash, taking bhang and dhatura as food and living amid sacred ash.
जटा में गंग बहत है गल मुण्डन माला। शेष नाग लिपटावत ओढ़त मृगछाला॥
Jata mein Gang bahat hai gal mundan mala, Shesh naag liptavat odhat mrigchhala.
The Ganga flows through your matted hair and a garland of skulls hangs at your neck; the serpent coils around you and you wear a deerskin.
काशी में विराजे विश्वनाथ नन्दी ब्रह्मचारी। नित उठ दर्शन पावत महिमा अति भारी॥
Kashi mein viraje Vishwanath Nandi brahmachari, Nit uth darshan pavat mahima ati bhari.
In Kashi you reside as Vishwanath with Nandi the celibate devotee; those who rise daily for your darshan know how vast your glory is.
त्रिगुणस्वामी जी की आरती जो कोइ नर गावे। कहत शिवानन्द स्वामी मनवांछित फल पावे॥
Trigunswami ji ki aarti jo koi nar gave, Kahat Shivanand Swami manvanchhit phal pave.
Swami Shivanand says that whoever sings this aarti of the Lord of the three gunas receives the fruit their heart desires.
