श्री रघुबीर भक्त हितकारी। सुनि लीजै प्रभु अरज हमारी॥
Shri Raghubir bhakt hitkari, Suni lijai prabhu araj hamari.
O Shri Raghubir, well-wisher of your devotees, Lord, please listen to my humble plea.
निशि दिन ध्यान धरै जो कोई। ता सम भक्त और नहिं होई॥
Nishi din dhyan dharai jo koi, Ta sam bhakt aur nahin hoi.
No devotee is equal to the one who meditates on you night and day.
ध्यान धरे शिवजी मन माहीं। ब्रह्मा इन्द्र पार नहिं पाहीं॥
Dhyan dhare Shivji man mahin, Brahma Indra par nahin pahin.
Even Shiva meditates on you in his heart, and Brahma and Indra cannot find the limit of your glory.
जय जय जय रघुनाथ कृपाला। सदा करो सन्तन प्रतिपाला॥
Jai jai jai Raghunath kripala, Sada karo santan pratipala.
Victory to the compassionate Raghunath, who always protects and sustains the saints.
दूत तुम्हार वीर हनुमाना। जासु प्रभाव तिहूँ पुर जाना॥
Doot tumhar veer Hanumana, Jasu prabhav tihun pur jana.
Your messenger is the brave Hanuman, whose power is known in all three worlds.
तुव भुजदण्ड प्रचण्ड कृपाला। रावण मारि सुरन प्रतिपाला॥
Tuv bhujdand prachand kripala, Ravan mari suran pratipala.
O merciful one, with your mighty arms you slew Ravan and protected the gods.
तुम अनाथ के नाथ गोसाईं। दीनन के हो सदा सहाई॥
Tum anath ke nath gosain, Dinan ke ho sada sahai.
Master, you are the protector of the helpless and the constant support of the humble.
ब्रह्मादिक तव पार न पावैं। सदा ईश तुम्हरो यश गावैं॥
Brahmadik tav par na pavain, Sada ish tumhro yash gavain.
Brahma and the other gods cannot fathom you, and the great lords forever sing your fame.
चारिउ वेद भरत हैं साखी। तुम भक्तन की लज्जा राखी॥
Chariu Ved bharat hain sakhi, Tum bhaktan ki lajja rakhi.
All four Vedas bear witness that you have always protected the honour of your devotees.
गुण गावत शारद मन माहीं। सुरपति ताको पार न पाहीं॥
Gun gavat Sharad man mahin, Surpati tako par na pahin.
Saraswati sings your virtues in her heart, and even Indra, king of the gods, cannot reach their end.
नाम तुम्हार लेत जो कोई। ता सम धन्य और नहिं होई॥
Naam tumhar let jo koi, Ta sam dhanya aur nahin hoi.
Whoever takes your name is blessed beyond all others.
राम नाम है अपरम्पारा। चारिहु वेदन जाहि पुकारा॥
Ram naam hai aparampara, Charihu Vedan jahi pukara.
The name of Ram is boundless; it is the name that all four Vedas proclaim.
गणपति नाम तुम्हारो लीन्हों। तिनको प्रथम पूज्य तुम कीन्हों॥
Ganpati naam tumharo linhon, Tinko pratham pujya tum kinhon.
Ganesh took your name, and you made him the first to be worshipped.
शेष रटत नित नाम तुम्हारा। महि को भार शीश पर धारा॥
Shesh ratat nit naam tumhara, Mahi ko bhar shish par dhara.
Sheshnag repeats your name constantly and bears the weight of the earth upon his head.
फूल समान रहत सो भारा। पावत कोउ न तुम्हरो पारा॥
Phool saman rahat so bhara, Pavat kou na tumhro para.
By your name that great load stays as light as a flower; no one can find the limit of your power.
भरत नाम तुम्हरो उर धारो। तासों कबहुँ न रण में हारो॥
Bharat naam tumhro ur dharo, Tason kabahun na ran mein haro.
Bharat held your name in his heart, and so he was never defeated in battle.
नाम शत्रुहन हृदय प्रकाशा। सुमिरत होत शत्रु कर नाशा॥
Naam Shatruhan hriday prakasha, Sumirat hot shatru kar nasha.
Your name shines in Shatrughan's heart, and by remembering it enemies are destroyed.
लषन तुम्हारे आज्ञाकारी। सदा करत सन्तन रखवारी॥
Lakhan tumhare agyakari, Sada karat santan rakhvari.
Lakshman, ever obedient to you, always stands guard over the saints.
ताते रण जीते नहिं कोई। युद्ध जुरे यमहूँ किन होई॥
Tate ran jite nahin koi, Yuddh jure Yamahun kin hoi.
So no one can defeat him in battle, even if Yama himself enters the fight.
महा लक्ष्मी धर अवतारा। सब विधि करत पाप को छारा॥
Maha Lakshmi dhar avatara, Sab vidhi karat paap ko chhara.
Mahalakshmi took birth on earth as your consort and in every way reduces sin to ashes.
सीता राम पुनीता गायो। भुवनेश्वरी प्रभाव दिखायो॥
Sita Ram punita gayo, Bhuvaneshwari prabhav dikhayo.
Sita, praised as the pure consort of Ram, revealed her power as Bhuvaneshwari, queen of the worlds.
घट सों प्रकट भई सो आई। जाको देखत चन्द्र लजाई॥
Ghat son prakat bhai so aai, Jako dekhat Chandra lajai.
She appeared from an earthen pot, so radiant that the moon feels shy on seeing her.
सो तुमरे नित पांव पलोटत। नवो निद्धि चरणन में लोटत॥
So tumre nit paanv palotat, Navo niddhi charanan mein lotat.
She serves you daily by pressing your feet, and the nine treasures lie at your feet.
सिद्धि अठारह मंगल कारी। सो तुम पर जावै बलिहारी॥
Siddhi atharah mangal kari, So tum par javai balihari.
The eighteen auspicious siddhis offer themselves wholly to you.
औरहु जो अनेक प्रभुताई। सो सीतापति तुमहिं बनाई॥
Aurahu jo anek prabhutai, So Sitapati tumahin banai.
O Lord of Sita, every other power and glory there is was created by you.
इच्छा ते कोटिन संसारा। रचत न लागत पल की बारा॥
Ichchha te kotin sansara, Rachat na lagat pal ki bara.
By your will alone you create millions of worlds, without taking even a moment.
जो तुम्हरे चरनन चित लावै। ताको मुक्ति अवसि हो जावै॥
Jo tumhre charnan chit lavai, Tako mukti avasi ho javai.
Whoever fixes the mind on your feet surely attains liberation.
सुनहु राम तुम तात हमारे। तुमहिं भरत कुल पूज्य प्रचारे॥
Sunahu Ram tum tat hamare, Tumahin Bharat kul pujya prachare.
Listen, Ram, you are my father; you are proclaimed the revered one of Bharat's lineage.
तुमहिं देव कुल देव हमारे। तुम गुरु देव प्राण के प्यारे॥
Tumahin dev kul dev hamare, Tum guru dev pran ke pyare.
You are my God and my family deity; you are my Guru and dearer to me than life.
जो कुछ हो सो तुमहीं राजा। जय जय जय प्रभु राखो लाजा॥
Jo kuchh ho so tumahin raja, Jai jai jai prabhu rakho laja.
O King, whatever exists, you alone are all of it. Victory to you, Lord; protect my honour.
रामा आत्मा पोषण हारे। जय जय जय दशरथ के प्यारे॥
Rama atma poshan hare, Jai jai jai Dashrath ke pyare.
O Ram, nourisher of the soul, victory to you, beloved son of Dashrath.
जय जय प्रभु ज्योति स्वरूपा। निर्गुण ब्रह्म अखण्ड अनूपा॥
Jai jai prabhu jyoti swaroopa, Nirgun Brahm akhand anoopa.
Victory to the Lord whose form is pure light, the formless Brahman, undivided and beyond compare.
सत्य सत्य जय सत्यव्रत स्वामी। सत्य सनातन अन्तर्यामी॥
Satya satya jai satyavrat swami, Satya sanatan antaryami.
Victory to the Lord vowed to truth, who is truth itself, eternal and dwelling within every being.
सत्य भजन तुम्हरो जो गावै। सो निश्चय चारों फल पावै॥
Satya bhajan tumhro jo gavai, So nishchay charon phal pavai.
Whoever sincerely sings your praise surely gains the four fruits of life.
सत्य शपथ गौरीपति कीन्हीं। तुमने भक्तहिं सब सिद्धि दीन्हीं॥
Satya shapath Gauripati kinhin, Tumne bhaktahin sab siddhi dinhin.
Shiva, Lord of Gauri, has solemnly sworn that you grant every accomplishment to your devotees.
ज्ञान हृदय दो ज्ञान स्वरूपा। नमो नमो जय जगपति भूपा॥
Gyan hriday do gyan swaroopa, Namo namo jai jagpati bhoopa.
O embodiment of wisdom, place wisdom in my heart. Salutations again and again to the King and Lord of the world.
धन्य धन्य तुम धन्य प्रतापा। नाम तुम्हार हरत संतापा॥
Dhanya dhanya tum dhanya pratapa, Naam tumhar harat santapa.
Blessed are you and blessed is your glory; your name takes away all suffering.
सत्य शुद्ध देवन मुख गाया। बजी दुन्दुभी शंख बजाया॥
Satya shuddh devan mukh gaya, Baji dundubhi shankh bajaya.
The gods sang of your pure truth, while kettledrums resounded and conches were blown.
सत्य सत्य तुम सत्य सनातन। तुमहीं हो हमरे तन मन धन॥
Satya satya tum satya sanatan, Tumahin ho hamre tan man dhan.
You are truth, the eternal truth; you alone are my body, mind and wealth.
याको पाठ करे जो कोई। ज्ञान प्रकट ताके उर होई॥
Yako path kare jo koi, Gyan prakat take ur hoi.
Whoever recites this finds wisdom dawning in their heart.
आवागमन मिटै तिहि केरा। सत्य वचन माने शिव मेरा॥
Avagaman mitai tihi kera, Satya vachan mane Shiv mera.
Their cycle of birth and death comes to an end; Shiva himself accepts these words as true.
और आस मन में जो ल्यावै। तुलसी दल अरु फूल चढ़ावै॥
Aur aas man mein jo lyavai, Tulsi dal aru phool chadhavai.
Whoever holds a wish in the mind and offers tulsi leaves and flowers to you,
साग पत्र सो भोग लगावै। सो नर सकल सिद्धता पावै॥
Saag patra so bhog lagavai, So nar sakal siddhata pavai.
and offers even simple greens and leaves as food, attains complete fulfilment.
अन्त समय रघुबर पुर जाई। जहाँ जन्म हरि भक्त कहाई॥
Ant samay Raghubar pur jai, Jahan janm Hari bhakt kahai.
At the end of life such a person goes to Shri Ram's abode, and wherever they are born they are known as a devotee of Hari.
श्री हरि दास कहै अरु गावै। सो वैकुण्ठ धाम को पावै॥
Shri Hari das kahai aru gavai, So Vaikunth dham ko pavai.
Whoever, as a servant of Hari, recites and sings this reaches the abode of Vaikuntha.
सात दिवस जो नेम कर, पाठ करे चित लाय। हरिदास हरि कृपा से, अवसि भक्ति को पाय॥
Saat divas jo nem kar, path kare chit lay. Haridas Hari kripa se, avasi bhakti ko pay.
Haridas says: whoever takes a vow and recites this attentively for seven days surely gains devotion by Hari's grace.
राम चालीसा जो पढ़े, राम चरण चित लाय। जो इच्छा मन में करै, सकल सिद्ध हो जाय॥
Ram Chalisa jo padhe, Ram charan chit lay. Jo ichchha man mein karai, sakal siddh ho jay.
Whoever reads the Ram Chalisa with the mind fixed on Shri Ram's feet sees every wish of the heart fulfilled.
